We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Director of Operations to join our team! As Director of Operations at Airspace Link, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall business operations strategy as this is crucial for our growth and success.

The Director of Operations is a crucial member of our senior management team, who reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this position, you’ll have to manage and control diverse business operation and functions, so we expect you to be a hardworking and inspiring leader.

Airspace Link is headquartered out of Detroit, MI with a remote office in northern Utah. We’d love for candidates to be centered in these geographic regions but understand that the best person for the job may live somewhere else. In short, the right remote candidates are considered.

Responsibilities:

A lot of the work on operations can be reactive. However, your job in addition to dealing with the day-to-day is to deal with what comes next.

We’ll be looking to you to clearly define the roles within the ops team, build clear lines of accountability, set targets for our offerings, balance the reactive work with project work, and ultimately instill a resilience culture at Airspace Link. It’s not just managing the work, it’s also bringing the vision of what the work should be.

  • Driving the company’s operating capabilities to surpass customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage the daily performance of the operations team. Use good meeting and project planning practices to drive focus and results.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
  • Preparing timely and accurate financial performance reports.
  • Overseeing marketing initiatives and implementing better business practices.
  • Analyze and interpret data and metrics.
  • Create reports for the management team.
  • Take the lead in expansion activities.
  • Maintain relationships with partners and vendors.
  • Drive the operational launch of the company products.
  • Develop and execute an integrated go-to-market plan for the product, including feature roll-out, product positioning and routes to market.
  • Deliver agreed performance within budget. Performance includes P&L, market share, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Partner with Business Development leader to establish agreed mix of pricing, marketing programs, direct sales and channel partners.
  • Oversee contract negotiation and legal activities: client contracts, partnership agreements, vendor contracts and other legal documents.
  • Oversee the human resource function.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree +.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience managing a complex enterprise's human resources, finances, operations and strategies.
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous complex enterprise.
  • Proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully.
  • Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership.
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills and experience working with staff on all levels.
  • Ability to make business projections three years into the future.
  • In-depth knowledge of different business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing etc.
  • Hands on experience in fundraising, strategic planning and business development.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and KPIs.
  • Familiarity IT/Business infrastructure.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Great communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
