Primarily responsible for delinquency management of the Verdant portfolio.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Make collection calls on accounts starting at 6 days past due


• Sending delinquency report to Sales, update “watch” accounts, meet with Credit Team to discuss next steps


• Work with Sales to assist in collections


• Work with Third Party Servicer to ensure coverage within terms of Statement of Work


• Work with Third Party Servicer for minor skip tracing including reviewing return mail for better information


• Create and manage process internally or with Third Party Servicer for written communication to be sent to past due customers as a Welcome Letter, 30 Day Letter, NSF Letter, and Demand/Default Letter when applicable


• Work with Syndications/Capital Markets on syndicated transactions and next steps


• Manage and utilize existing third party for escalated collections, door knock, in depth skip tracing for accounts when applicable


• Escalated Collection attempts when Third Party Servicer has reached the limit of their capabilities


• Work with Legal as needed on Delinquent accounts that are currently in litigation, past due and/or bankruptcy


• Work with the Documentation Team on understanding and correcting booking errors


• Conduct account reconciliations and work with Accounting, Third Party Servicer, and customers/vendors for implementation of corrections


• Work with Accounting and Third-Party Servicer regarding cash application of funds, pay proceeds from the sale of assets, etc.


• Backup support to the Sr. Portfolio Administration and Client Care team for the tasks of Client Care calls, Sales questions, Late Fee Waiver requests, insurance issues, miscellaneous coverage during Paid Time Off of team or overage of calls/emails

Minimum Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the job

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5 years relative progressive experience in Collections workout


• Minimum of 5 years’ commercial/B2B collection experience


• Commercial Lending experience is preferred
