JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a Principal/Senior Data Engineer with a passion for building next-generation data platforms that fuel AI innovation. This role is not about crunching numbers—it’s about architecting the backbone that makes AI possible. You’ll design, implement, and scale a Data as a Service (DaaS) platform that delivers reliable, high-quality data to power inference systems and AI solutions built by our ML engineering teams.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll define the data architecture, streamline ingestion and transformation pipelines, enforce governance and quality, and ensure that data becomes a first-class product across the organization.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect & Build scalable, high-performance data infrastructure on Databricks, Spark, and GCP, enabling AI and ML applications at scale.
  • Data as a Service: Deliver clean, reliable, and real-time data pipelines that fuel downstream inference services.
  • Integrations: Ingest and unify structured, unstructured, and streaming data from diverse enterprise and external sources.
  • Governance & Quality: Define standards for data quality, lineage, security, and compliance; implement automated validation and monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with ML engineers to provide the right data services and APIs that accelerate model training and deployment.
  • Optimization: Continuously improve performance of large-scale data pipelines, storage layers, and retrieval systems.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in data engineering with proven experience architecting enterprise-grade platforms.
  • Core Skills:
    • Expert in Databricks, PySpark, GCP (must-have).
    • Strong in data architecture, data transformation workflows, and data modeling.
    • Hands-on with real-time streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub) and batch processing.
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and distributed systems.
    • Strong knowledge of different data platforms (Data lake, Lakehouse, Data warehouse, Data Mesh), Vector DB and/or Knowledge-graph DBs
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Working knowledge of Azure, GCP, AWS, Airflow, BigQuery, and modern data/knowledge platforms such as Weaviate, Pinecone, and Neo4j
    • Experience designing APIs for data access and integration.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex data initiatives, leading engineers, and drive best practices.
  • Mindset: Builder at heart, with strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and focus on data as a product.

Why This Role Matters?

You will define the data foundation of our Agentic-AI platform, transforming raw information into a trusted, scalable data service that directly fuels brand growth solutions in MarTech and AdTech. Your work ensures our Application & ML engineers can build inference-as-a-service products faster, cheaper, and with higher accuracy.
