JOB SUMMARY

We are a next-generation, AI-powered MarTech and AdTech startup focused on unlocking enterprise-grade marketing intelligence for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Our platform is built on LLMs, agentic AI frameworks, and proprietary data-driven systems that scale performance, personalization, and automation across the marketing lifecycle.

As Architect of AI-Data Platform, you will lead the architecture and build-out of our unified, cloud-native data platform, serving as the foundational layer for all AI, ML, and agentic system operations. This role is pivotal in establishing the real-time and batch data infrastructure required to power our recommendation engines, attribution models, customer journey analytics, and LLM pipelines.

You will work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and product leadership to build high performance pipelines, streaming architectures, and data reliability systems that enable intelligent agent interoperability at scale.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and scale a unified data platform to serve AI/ML, analytics, and product needs across MarTech and AdTech verticals.
  • Actively contribute code to core infrastructure components, including data pipelines, orchestration layers, and real-time streaming systems.
  • Serve as a player-coach, balancing architectural leadership with hands-on implementation of critical systems.
  • Lead by example in writing clean, scalable, and production-grade code in Python, SQL, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Lead the development of real-time data streaming infrastructure (Kafka, Spark, or equivalent) for ingesting, processing, and enriching cross-channel customer events.
  • Implement robust data replication, versioning, and lineage frameworks to ensure reliability and traceability for AI-driven workflows.
  • Establish and oversee robust data governance practices, including Master Data Management (MDM) for core business entities.
  • Build and manage highly available, low-latency pipelines for embedding generation, RAG pipelines, and agentic retrieval systems.
  • Serve as the technical owner of our data Lakehouse architecture (Databricks, Delta Lake) and transactional store layer (PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.)
  • Partner with the AI team to optimize data flows for agent-to-agent orchestration, LLM context enrichment, and streaming model evaluation.
  • Drive data governance, security, and compliance strategies while enabling rapid iteration and experimentation.
  • Establish and evangelize best practices in DataOps and platform monitoring to support high-velocity releases.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability through versioned, immutable event logs, data cataloging, and end-to-end tracking across the data ecosystem.
  • Mentor and scale a world-class data engineering team aligned with the roadmap and product growth phases.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in data engineering or platform roles, with 5+ years in technical leadership or executive-level positions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience building cloud-native data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, real-time stream processing (Kafka, Flink, or Spark Streaming)
  • Strong command of batch and micro-batch data pipelines, preferably using Databricks, Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
  • Experience designing data layers for ML training/inference, RAG retrieval, and LLM memory architecture.
  • Comfortable being deep in the codebase while also setting architectural direction.
  • Expertise in data modeling, replication, and versioning for large-scale event-driven systems.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern data tooling (Delta Lake, Iceberg, dbt, etc.)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with agentic system design, context pipelines, or semantic search/embedding workflows.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Why Join Us?

  • Help architect the core data backbone of a GenAI-native platform from the ground up.
  • Collaborate directly with C-level leadership to influence product direction and technical strategy.
  • Be part of a mission-driven company transforming how AI powers marketing for SMBs.
  • Work in a startup environment where innovation, speed, and experimentation are encouraged.
  • Shape how LLM-driven agents interact with real-time, dynamic, and intelligent data streams.
