Carondelet High School Substitute Teaching 

 

Carondelet High School (About us) is looking to expand our pool of substitute teachers available to support our faculty and students for the 2024-2025 School Year and beyond. The substitute teachers are an integral part of our extended team which works to create an environment where our faculty can be supported in their absence while ensuring students are provided the resources they need to succeed at Carondelet. 

 

An ideal candidate is a team player who can think outside the box, is confident and capable with the use of technology in the classroom, and is familiar with using a digital learning management system. 

  

Instructional and Classroom Responsibilities

• Effectively manages instructional time and student behavior

• Teaches all academic areas based on the provided lesson plan (specific desire to find a candidate that is comfort with Math Curriculum from Algebra 1 through Algebra 2)

• Supervises students 

• Follows school expectations to ensure the safety of the students

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Grading in Powerschool/Schoology

• Schoology use/posting

• Launching Zooms with students

• Meeting with struggling students

• Monitoring in-class students if needed
