About the Role
Are you a highly analytical and detail-oriented Quality Engineer looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an innovative, fast-paced technology environment? Saras Micro Devices is seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Engineer to support the development and implementation of quality systems and product quality standards, and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will partner closely with R&D, Process Engineering, Technology Integration, Manufacturing Operations, Pathfinding, Business Development, and other cross-functional teams to establish and continuously improve Saras Micro Devices’ quality infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Works with R&D and Process Engineering to establish quality manual and acceptance criteria.
- Establishes Non-Conforming Material (NCM) disposition routing.
- Establishes Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Control Board (CCB).
- Has primary responsibility for Returned Materials Authorization (RMA) processing.
- Works closely with R&D Engineering to develop technology qualification plans.
- Lead documentation control, product change management, board and product change notices.
- Define strategies for excursion analysis and critical yield metrics.
- Develop Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) procedures.
- Develop product quality acceptance criteria and quality manual for Saras production facilities.
- Develop Quality Management System.
- Define strategy for processing Inspection & Metrology requirements and support implementation.
- Partner closely with Business Development, Technology Integration, Manufacturing Operations, Pathfinding and others.
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as sharp attention to detail.
- May at times require changing priorities quickly to fulfill customer needs.
- Involves working in multiple manufacturing areas, including areas where chemicals and analytical equipment is being used.
- Position may require travel to suppliers and customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or 10 years of equivalent experience.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated skills in Quality and Yield Management and familiarity with semiconductor technologies.
- Has prior working experience in standards (JEDEC, IPC and related).
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office® software suite.
- Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Preferred Skills
- Epicor ERP and quality module experience (or experience in another ERP/quality module platform) preferred.
