Healthcare Project Architect

What We’re Looking For: 
An impact player to join our team.  As an experienced project architect with 7-10 years of recognized technical expertise in healthcare project delivery, you will lead a team of architects and designers to deliver complex healthcare architectural projects from concept through construction. Our focus is on patient care with clients ranging from physicians' practices to local, rural, and regional healthcare systems.

·               Exceptional communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and contractors 

·               Someone who is flexible and can grow with the organization  

Responsibilities 

·               Lead a team through the entire design process from schematic design through construction documents in a collaborative effort 

·               Organize, manage, and lead project Revit and BIM 360 production of Construction and Permit documents including project specifications in collaboration with other members of the design team 

·               Work directly alongside Principal/Project Manager in direct client communication regarding the project design and progress 

·               Produce and document each design stage, including but not limited to concept, schemes, and detailed design and/or Basis of Design strategies 

·               Lead the review and coordination of work produced by consulting partners including engineers, designers, architects, vendors, etc. 

·               Work with cost consultants, project managers, and construction teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of the project to schedule and budget 

·               Assist in the development of project budgets and timelines 

·               Provide Principal/Project Manager with regular updates on status, issues, or challenges 

·               Attend design and CA meetings 

·               Provide technical guidance and solutions for both Exterior and Tenant Improvement design and code related challenges 

·               Lead quality control efforts for construction documents and other project production work 

·               Remain current with the latest regulatory codes and industry changes within the healthcare environment 

·               Mentoring and managing younger staff that report to this position 

·               Other duties as assigned 

 

Technical Knowledge 

·               Professional degree in Architecture preferred, professional registration preferred 

·               7+ years of Healthcare Architecture experience  

·               Technical knowledge of construction assemblies and detailing 

·               Knowledge and expertise of jurisdictional codes and standards applicable to design of projects 

·               Working knowledge of engineering systems 

·               Strong design and presentation skills 

·               Authorization to work in the United States 

Competencies 

·               Motivated and self-reliant, comfortable working in remote working environment 

·               Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills 

·               Listening skill.

·               Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects 

·               Ability to delegate, monitor progress and coordination, and conduct QA/QC 

·               Aptitude in building teammates up through training and feedback  

·               Proven history of excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and presentation skills 

·               Can successfully engage with professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment 

·               Can organize and lead meetings related to architectural development 

Software Requirements 

·               Proficient in using Revit/BIM 360 skills throughout all phases of SD, DD, CD, and CA 

·               Responsible for development and maintenance of Revit templates, families and company Wide Revit Model Management

·               Proficient in using Zoom and/or MS Teams for meeting facilitation, project management,  and file management

·               Proficient using Bluebeam for progress review and QA/QC coordination 

·               Experience working with scheduling software, with preference to Smartsheet 

·               Working knowledge of AutoCAD 

·               Working knowledge of digital modeling tools such as Sketchup, Rhino, and Format
