OUR ORGANIZATION

The National Education Equity Lab is a rapidly scaling education justice non-profit that seeks to propel economic mobility by democratizing access to higher education. We deliver, and support, actual college credit-bearing courses from our nation’s top colleges and universities (Howard, Stanford, Wharton, Spelman, Brown, and more) into teacher-led high school classrooms in Title 1 high schools - at no cost to students. Since starting in 2019, we will have reached approximately 40,000 scholars, from 150 districts, 32 states, by the end of this year. While in the early stages, our results to date have been exciting.

We are a passionate 100% remote team of former education and civil rights leaders, teachers, policy-wonks, and consultants - with an active board, including former U.S. Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan; founder of the Children’s Defense Fund, Marian Wright Edelman; University of Pennsylvania Professor, Angela Duckworth; CEO of the Common App, Jenny Rickard; and former Howard University President, Dr. Wayne Frederick.

OVERVIEW

The National Education Equity Lab (Ed Equity Lab) is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented School Success Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our current school partners are set up to successfully implement our courses. This person will be successful if students complete and pass our courses at our historically high rates, educators express satisfaction with our partnerships, and those outcomes allow us to expand our reach and impact by confirming new partnerships and enhancing existing relationships with high school and district leaders within their portfolio of partnerships. As a School Success Manager, you will serve as the main point of contact for impact reporting, logistical coordination, and partnership development, specifically related to the implementation of the Ed Equity Lab's college-in-high school model.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented, equity-driven professional to join a small yet ambitious team dedicated to a significant objective: assisting Title 1 high schools in adopting and implementing the Ed Equity Lab college-in-high school model to support and enhance student learning. This role includes communicating with high school teams, ensuring the successful implementation of the Ed Equity Lab's model, and overseeing vital aspects of course logistics. Ideal candidates should be prepared and enthusiastic about applying skill sets of new partner development and customer success management to an educational context. They should feel equally at ease engaging with district executive leadership, curriculum and instruction leaders, and classroom teachers. Technical problem-solving, adept relationship management and emotional intelligence, empathy towards school district leaders and teachers, along with excellent communication skills, are all essential attributes for success in this role.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage relationships with a portfolio of high schools (principals and teachers) to ensure they effectively implement the Ed Equity Lab model to drive student success. This will include but not be limited to: facilitating co-teacher selection, allocating courses to specific schools, making the student rostering process as seamless as possible, and addressing and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during course launch.
  • Support the implementation of our college credit-bearing courses. This support would include but is not limited to: ensuring students log in at the beginning of the semester at high rates, providing technical assistance to co-teachers around accessing and navigating Canvas, and providing updates to school leaders on course progress and student performance.
  • Expand Ed Equity Lab's offerings within existing schools; managing ongoing communication with administrators to support their knowledge about the opportunity and their decision-making process.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to collect and analyze data, develop, and deliver impact reports that communicate the positive outcomes of the Ed Equity Lab's college-in-high school model.
  • Coordinating and leading site visits to support partner schools twice a year and provide technical support as needed.
  • Work with internal teams to continually improve the school partnership experience and student outcomes through suggesting process improvements, developing marketing collateral, and implementing stakeholder feedback.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience required.
  • Teaching and/or education program management experience highly valued; experience with Salesforce and/or Canvas preferred; other professional experience that allows you to garner a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities for school and district leaders.
  • Deep understanding of and curiosity about the dual-enrollment, early college, and college access spaces.
  • Unflappable commitment to driving more equitable educational outcomes.
  • Equal parts collaborative and self-motivated; driven by outcomes and likes to achieve audacious goals in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in problem solving and learning technical processes.
