A bold initiative founded through a half-billion-dollar investment from Frank McCourt, Project Liberty encompasses several efforts including:

• Project Liberty Labs, which develops new and innovative solutions that aim to accelerate the transition to a better digital era. It created the cutting-edge Frequency blockchain and developed the open-source Decentralized Social Networking Protocol (DSNP). Both technologies are the bedrock of a more equitable web that serves the common good and empowers people over platforms.
• Project Liberty Institute,  a global nonprofit organization with a network of collaborators to advance research, bring together technologists and social scientists to steward DSNP, and develop a governance model for the internet’s next era.
• Project Liberty Alliance, a network of organizations — over 100 and growing —who care about developing a more just and humane digital future, which serves as a learning and collaboration engine through which we strengthen the overlaps in our missions.
