We are an AI driven small business lending and investment platform company that has an immediate full-time opportunity for a sales professional with a proven track record of success. The Vice President, Originations is the position responsible for the identification, and self-sourcing of middle market commercial real estate (CRE) loans on behalf of credit unions that do not have an internal commercial lending or member business lending program or desires to supplement their internal MBL program with participations. Additionally, this individual will help our company in improving processes in portfolio management, originations, collections, asset management and maintaining world class standards in servicing credit files on our customers. Duties and Responsibilities
Annual Production Goal = $50,000,000
Business Loan Production (100%)
- Facilitates self-sourced business loans with a focus on commercial real estate loans that are participated to a large network of credit unions through brokers, Website inquires, direct marketing, and networking events.
- Maintains loan files to ensure proper order and content. Maintains detailed contact records to ensure proper documentation of procedure and follow up with borrowers and credit unions.
- Submits CRE loans that meet the underwriting criteria and asset needs of targeted credit unions.
- Attend and participate in sales conferences and represent AVANA Capital at industry trade shows.
- Develop thorough knowledge of offered products and services by AVANA and assist in the marketing of products.
- On-going portfolio and credit risk management on self-sourced and referral loans and clients assigned to BDO. Ongoing servicing of loan portfolio by contacting clients for financial updates.
- Attend training meetings held by AVANA Management.
- Annually prepare a SALES PLAN for achievement of goals
- Joint call with Sales Manager in market
- Weekly appointment Goals:
- 4 appointments/week with prospects, referral and center of influence sources for the first 90 days
- 8 appointments/week with prospects, referral and center of influence sources after the 180 days
- Prepare Executive Summary and Complete Credit Pre-screen. Assist in the development of loan proposals, analyses and interpretation of financial statements to structure and pre-qualify borrowers.
- Coordinate closings and liaison with all thirds party companies engaged by AVANA to ensure timely processing and closing of open loan requests.
- Conduct site visits when applicable on an as needed basis.
- Input sales activities in HubSpot CRM on a weekly basis..
Required Education and Qualification
- Candidates with prior credit union, community, regional or national Bank experience in relationship management, business development or sales will be given priority
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent 5 years’ work experience selling bank C&I and CRE products and services is preferred.
- Knowledge of CRE, C&I, and commercial mortgage lending required.
- Thorough understanding of business financial statements, business and personal tax returns and credit required; and ability to prepare proposals and credit summaries for management review.
- Ability to make direct sales presentations and provide personalized service for each relationship. Prepare deal / executive summary for transitioning loan requests to underwriting staff and assist in the closing of loans.
- Self-directed and ability to work autonomously and to organize/prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel locally valid driver's license. Occasional out of state travel for conferences and meetings.
- Compensation based on base salary + commissions and we offer 100% coverage of Health Benefit for employee and 50% coverage for family and 100% coverage on dental for family.
