The Position
AREVON is recruiting for the position of Procurement Analyst, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century.
Job Description
The Procurement Analyst will be a part of the CapEx and Technology Team and will report directly to the Technical Procurement Manager. Responsibilities include:
• Supporting technical/commercial supplier due diligence processes, competitive RFPs, negotiations, contract execution for capital equipment with focus on solar panels and trackers (Analyst will also have exposure to BESS and Solar Inverters.)
• Supporting tax equity and project financing QandA’s with major US Banks.
• Supporting PV + BESS design for early-stage greenfield projects (modeling, cost estimates, and project schedules). Develop consensus on optimal system design, construction and operational approaches with partner Development, Construction and Operations organizations.
• Developing best-in-class technology/price forecasting database tools to generate 4-year look ahead capital equipment forecasts.
• Build strategic relationships with equipment and services suppliers and perform as key point of contact within the company for relationships with suppliers.
• Collecting market intelligence on solar PV technology and generate creative visualizations for Arevon senior management and investor presentations.
• Maintaining feedback loop with operations and development/construction teams to ensure issues are documented and considered for future project designs.
• Conducting manufacturing facility and construction site visits to ensure proper QAQC measures are followed on procured equipment.
• Develop internal processes and procedures to optimize workflow via software implementation
Experience Requirements
• 0-3 years of engineering, supply chain, or finance related experience.
• Passionate about power plants and the renewable energy industry with a team player mentality.
• Ability/willingness to travel (<10%) and occasionally to work overtime on short notice when necessary.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, manage relationships with colleagues Page 2.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to perform in a dynamic and collaborative working environment.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint is a must (PowerBI and/or other visualization platforms considered an asset.)
• Basic coding/programming abilities not required, but considered an asset (Python, SQL, Java, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering, supply chain or business discipline from an accredited institution.
