The Position

AREVON is recruiting for the position of Development Engineer Analyst, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century.

Job Description

The Development Engineering Analyst will be responsible for providing technical support to the Project Engineer on PV and/or BESS projects. The role requires working with the project teams to assess potential project sites and provide engineering support as projects are developed. The role requires detailed analysis and interpretation of civil, structural, and electrical Prudent Industry Practices. The role will be part of the engineering team and will report directly to the Manager, Development Engineering. The responsibilities of a Development Engineer, Analyst include but are not limited to:

· Reviewing project sites for potential constraints and risks.

· Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create site plans, optimize photovoltaic (PV) designs, and generate bill of materials (BOM).

· Evaluating equipment technology on PV and BESS projects.

· Utilizing Python and other programming languages to enhance design and reporting capabilities.

· Creating and revising the scope of work documents for development activities.

· Responding to technical RFI and questions throughout the development phase.

· Analyzing data and creating summaries of the respective findings.

· Performing due diligence on project documentation, then cataloging and communicating fatal flaws.

· Research applicable Project codes and standards, such as NESC, ASME, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE.

· Able and willing to travel to Project sites.

· Collaboration with engineering, estimating, and construction staff to document and develop company best practices and design standards.

Experience Requirements

· Entry-level or up to (2) two years of experience as an engineer working with solar, BESS, or another related industry required.

· Engineer in Training (FE/EIT) preferred.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results-oriented, process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills .

· Knowledge of engineering and renewable energy systems; solar PV systems including SCADA and monitoring systems, and BESS.

· Capability of utilizing Python or other programming languages to automate the design process.

Education Requirements

· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, required
