The Position
The Maintenance Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing various Engineering programs for operational assets. The role will be part of the Asset Management and Operations team and will report directly to the Director of O&M Engineering. The Manager, Maintenance Engineering will work diligently to maximize system output by coordinating with various teams within Arevon, including but not limited to, the Performance Engineering team, Asset Management team, Procurement team, and others.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
This position will manage a wide range of duties including:
· Lead efforts towards the development of optimal corrective and preventative maintenance practices for operational BESS and PV plants across the US.
· Manage a network of engineering vendors for additional support.
· Manage and lead the team to manage the relationship with various Inverters, transformers, Trackers, Batteries, and PV panel OEMs.
· Lead the efforts to troubleshoot various technical issues and coordinate with OEMs, O&M vendors, and other teams to ensure robust solutions are implemented to correct issues and maximize availability.
· Manage and lead the team to manage the performance of root cause analysis by the OEMs.
· Manage the development and installation of technical solutions to detect and prevent common failure modes of equipment on PV and BESS facilities.
· Perform technical due diligence towards upcoming technologies in energy storage and PV.
· Manage the review of maintenance records and plans to ensure the quality performance of OEM service teams and O&M vendors.
· Review technology selections and site designs.
· Draft key exhibits towards standardizing functional and technical requirements related to plant performance and availability.
· Read and analyze event files and other data captured to assist O&M personnel in determining causes of trips and identifying where faults may be in the System
· Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Director of O&M Engineering
Qualifications
· 6 years experience in a renewable energy technical role. Or 10 years experience in a similar industry.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers and vendors.
· Strong Understanding of renewable energy regulations and compliance requirements.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to lead and manage a team.
· Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
