The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Paralegal/Legal Assistant, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century.
Job Description
The Paralegal or Legal Assistant will be a key member of the legal team responsible for supporting a growing company with strategic management of legal billing, corporate entities, document drafting, document control, presentations, and other projects focused on coordinating the legal team’s seamless interaction with the rest of the company. The ideal candidate will be someone with intellectual curiosity, a drive to succeed, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position is located in Scottsdale, Arizona with a hybrid in-office policy.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
· Draft, file, and track legal and compliance documents, including entity registrations, annual filings, project documents, operating agreements, non-disclosure agreements, certificates, and legal notices.
· Proactively develop process improvements for the legal team and the broader company that align with Arevon’s strategic objectives.
· Manage timely execution, delivery, receipt, and dissemination of legal notices.
· Manage legal billing and law firm relationships through the Brightflag matter management platform.
· Coordinate management of legal entities in the Arevon organization, including ownership of systems for entity formation, management, and compliance.
· Assist with presentations and logistics for the Arevon legal team.
Qualifications
· A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS), or comparable education, training, and experience is required. A paralegal certificate and/or experience with corporate law, at a law firm, or in an in-house legal department is preferred, but not required.
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and confidence across the company.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
· Attention to detail, organizational skills, analytical skills, and the desire for continuous process improvement.
· Renewable energy industry experience is a plus.
