The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Settlements Manager, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century. This position will be responsible for overseeing and timely completion of all aspects of the invoicing and collections cycle for assets owned or managed on behalf of third parties. The Senior Associate, Settlements role will be responsible for compliance with and operation of internal controls over the settlements process. This role will be a part of the Commercial Asset Management team and report to the Director, Asset Management. At a high level, the Senior Associate, Settlements will be responsible for:
· Ensuring timely invoicing is performed on a monthly basis.
· Understanding various PPA settlement processes and interacting with off-takers.
· Managing off-taker invoice disputes to resolution.
· Performing routine control activities regarding settlements.
· Supporting monthly and ad-hoc reporting efforts.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
The position will own the settlements process with specific duties including:
· Invoicing and cash collections for activity from Hybrid, Solar PV, Wind, and/or BESS assets.
· Working with multiple teams to gather appropriate data to support settlement processes.
· Filing of FERC Electronic Quarterly Reports for all asset types.
· Overseeing an Economic Settlements Analyst in the performance of their duties.
· Interacting with project Asset Management team to understand and explain revenue shortfalls as a part of monthly reporting efforts.
· Support process development and building efficiency while maintaining the reliability of data.
· Reviewing A/R on a regular basis to ensure timely collection.
· Performing regular collections activities for delinquent payments.
· Driving accelerated financial close activities and prompt notification to management of expected timeline deviations.
Experience Requirements
· 1 - 3+ years of relevant work experience in renewable or thermal energy assets.
· Understanding of energy market operations and regulatory compliance.
· Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures, and experience in a shared services center environment is helpful.
· Experience in managing and cultivating skills in direct reports.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results-oriented, process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
· Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
Education Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree with a major in accountancy or finance required.
· Prior experience in Renewable Energy Asset Management or a similar field.
