Primergy Solar, LLC is a developer, owner and operator focused on both distributed and utility scale solar PV and battery storage projects in North America. Primergy Solar features a diverse and talented team with decades of experience in renewables project development, financing, construction, and operations. It is currently managing and progressing a significant portfolio of operational and development stage solar + battery storage projects. Primergy Solar is a portfolio company of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and represents Quinbrook’s principal solar and solar plus energy storage investment platform in North America.

The incumbent will conduct advanced analysis of spatial data in support of solar and energy development activities, produce dynamic and static maps to visualize spatial information, and convert data to and from multiple common data formats for use by inside and outside customers of GIS data products. The GIS Analyst is expected to develop software tools, software applications, and processes to facilitate common or complex business processes which create value for the organization. The GIS Analyst will report to the GIS Manager and will be a member of the Development team.


The incumbent must have the ability to manage complex and time sensitive projects in a dynamic environment. This role requires the Analyst to define and act upon the inputs and outputs required for geospatial analysis at any point in the project lifecycle. The Analyst is responsible for maintaining the integrity of geospatial data flowing into and coming from the organization, in this capacity they are also responsible for interfacing with similar experts in outside organizations to ensure data quality. The GIS Analyst is the final arbiter of quality for geospatial data sets within the organization and must maintain appropriate levels of precision and accuracy for all geospatial products within the organization. The Analyst is also the primary supporter of GIS processes and tools, as such they will troubleshoot and maintain off-the-shelf and custom GIS software used by the organization.




  • Support the full life cycle of project development and execution, including the following activities and functions: market analysis, project siting, permitting, interconnection, engineering/design, acquisition, and sales transactions, and more.
  • Perform advanced GIS operations and statistical analysis.
  • Coordinates the integration and transformation of spatial data in multiple formats.
  • Develop tools to automate mapping processes and workflows.
  • Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to collect user and project requirements.
  • Develop advanced geospatial products and applications to achieve requirements.
  • Increase company work capacity by training and educating staff to use GIS tools in multiple contexts such as meetings and on-site with local stakeholders.
  •    Support selection, deployment, development, maintenance, and administration of Primergy platform software tools.
  • Implement creative ideas and trainings to make company more competitive and improve siting capabilities.
  • Proven experience with project management tasks.
  • Highly energetic and results-driven with a teamwork attitude.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel requirement: minimal, as needed.



  • Requires a Bachelor degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering/Science, GIS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years’ work experience experience building ArcGIS Online Web Applications for use in renewable energy projects
  • Understanding of relevant US federal, state and local datasets.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Preference for experience with programming languages and writing code (SQL, Python, Javascript, etc.).
  • Preference for experience with and understanding of renewable energy development (solar and energy storage).
