ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primergy Solar is seeking a talented Senior Development Engineer to join our expanding team. This Senior Development Engineer role is responsible for interfacing and supporting all technical development efforts between the Operations and Development and M&A organizations. The role is focused on running a process to identify project cost impacts and feasibility for solar and battery projects. The skills required include the ability to diligence site land, plant construction and interconnection feasibility, and power purchase agreement technical requirements. Additionally, the role will require performing energy assessments, creating preliminary layouts, project schedules, detailing location/regional differences in EPC requirements and costs, and overall technical support for the development team to ensure the successful planning for large-scale utility renewable energy projects managed by Primergy. This role requires collaboration with Primergy’s SME’s in M&A, Development, Financing, Engineering, Legal, Pre-Construction, Construction and Asset Management. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Technical Lead and Project Feasibility: • Optimizing design to achieve economic drivers specified by development while always maintaining constructability and execution in mind. Evaluating and combining potential project sites and technologies to produce the most effective solar and storage energy solutions. The recommendations will be clear in scope, schedule and price as to which technologies and services will be selected. Overall, providing technical support to the development team. • Managing 3rd party engineering and consulting service providers • Solar product knowledge including trackers, PV modules, inverters, and batteries • Due Diligence Pipeline management including ownership and responsibility for timely completion of all technical project development support in coordination with the M&A and development teams. Leading development engineering by self-performing analysis along with managing outside consultants as required for complete technical diligence of projects in the Development and M&A pipelines. Must have the ability to multi-task among many projects at one time. • Always convey bad news quickly and immediately to supervisor and/or colleagues to ensure all bad news is on • Efficiently coordinating with discipline leads to drive site plans, array layouts, building plans, one-line drawings, BOP plans, high voltage gen-tie, substation plans, and other conceptual engineering documents and deliverables as required by the project scope. Understanding optimal design applications and limitations and leading the evaluation of equipment. + • Providing streamlined project information and working with development checklists to ensure all project details are properly communicated to Development and execution teams. • Effectively utilizing software and implementing practices and tools to improve the conceptual design, and to improve communication between development and construction. Selfperforming basic engineering tasks including solar and battery layouts, equipment selection, review of electrical and civil plans, and excel analysis • Support and represent, from an owner’s perspective, the construction view to ensure we understand all requirements of power purchase agreement, site control, and interconnection are presented to the construction team clearly. • Regular communication with construction team for lessons learned, and incorporating into the development engineering • Provide owner’s representation on, and assist the Primergy organization in, managing the overall development process with specific intent to check the development and M&A data room with the goal of identifying concerns, advantages, and opportunities to be incorporated by construction teams scope and pricing. • The management function will include working with internal/external legal, development, engineering and construction on clear processes to ensure success of the Primergy projects. • Successfully execute on Primergy’s corporate goals and policies on all projects. Improvements to existing processes are welcomed and encouraged along with decision making. • Project Lifecycle: Work collaboratively with other Primergy internal departments, as required and as assigned, on optimizing and streamlining efficiencies relative to a project lifecycle and execution. This includes standardization around software tools for establishing protocols and procedures to oversee and track project lifecycle) • Outside projects: There will be opportunities for creatively engaging across departments to ensure Primergy is acquiring, building, and operating the best projects available to the team. We look for outside the box thinking and encourage personnel to ask questions and reach beyond the assigned role in order to ensure the success of the Primergy team. • Travel will be required, up to 25%.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Requires a Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, mathematics, economics) or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Advanced degree or additional certifications such as PMP, CFA, CPA preferred • 4+ years in solar PV; 1+ years in battery technology. • Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively multitask while managing heavy workload • Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision • Demonstrated aptitude to independently research, understand, and implement knowledge in new areas SKILLSET • Honesty and integrity. • Ability to analyze both commercial concerns and technical concerns • Commercial mindset, strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills are required • Ability to create process to consistently and clearly communicate project details from the development team to the construction team • Ability to read technical drawings, technical reports • Experience with PVSyst, PlantPredict and/or other energy modeling platforms • Desire to learn pricing and estimating for the purposes of high-level project costing • Resourceful and accomplished research skills ‐ ability to effectively utilize publicly available materials to find solutions, issues. • Must have a strong and reasonable voice. No stone unturned, no thought unsaid. • Ability to succinctly communicate and summarize complex issues into actionable deliverables. • Requires intimate knowledge of the power and renewable energy market dynamics. Preference for solar experience in US competitive wholesale electricity markets. Primergy Solar, LLC 1901 Harrison Street, Suite 1600, Oakland, CA 94612 • Requires the ability to stay current with changing technologies, pricing, polices, regulations, and trends influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy. • Knowledge of utility-scale renewable power generation development, origination, engineering, project finance, construction and operations. • Must have strong analytical skills and have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a key role in the diligence, analysis, and initial design of solar + storage projects. • General knowledge of commercial contract structure and language associated large-scale utility renewable energy projects. • Ability to quickly step into new tasks and adapt to new circumstances in a dynamic environment. • Ability to analyze technical challenges and simply convey solutions • Willingness to work extended hours, when necessary. • Ability to enjoy life, find time for oneself, and re-charge when time allows.
