Careers at Walden Biosciences
About Us

At Walden Biosciences, we are relentlessly focused on developing first-in-class, highly-targeted therapies for individuals living with kidney disease. Our accomplished team members are expert drug hunters and we have strong financial backing from blue chip investors.

Our culture is collaborative and entrepreneurial, and our team is dynamic and driven by data and innovation. We want to make the best decisions with the best available information, lead by example and bring transformative medicines to patients in need.

Walden Biosciences is based in the heart of Cambridge, MA between Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Our Approach is Different

We utilize a deep mechanistic understanding of both healthy and diseased kidney function, knowledge of novel biological pathways critical in regulating kidney function, and apply a systems-based approach to drug development. Our therapies target a specific cell type in the kidney, the podocyte, which is involved in the majority of renal diseases and is dysfunctional in all forms of CKD.  By restoring or preserving the function of podocytes, we aim to transform the lives of individuals living with a broad range of renal conditions. We have discovered and validated two novel targets backed by substantial research at world-leading organizations and are now advancing two programs based on this research into the clinic.

  • Do you thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, innovative environment?
  • Do you want to work on breakthrough science to address a major unmet medical need to provide patients with a viable alternative to dialysis or kidney transplant?
  • There are only 26 FDA approved drugs none of which target the kidney specifically vs. 274 in oncology, yet there are almost three times the number of CKD patients in the US than cancer patients. Are you ready to translate your drug discovery experience and make a difference?

If you answered yes to these questions and believe that you have what it takes to contribute to our mission, please explore our job openings to see if your skills are a match.  We are excited to consider having you join us for a professional experience like no other, as we seek to bring patients the first therapies targeted to the kidney.
