Our Approach is Different
We utilize a deep mechanistic understanding of both healthy and diseased kidney function, knowledge of novel biological pathways critical in regulating kidney function, and apply a systems-based approach to drug development. Our therapies target a specific cell type in the kidney, the podocyte, which is involved in the majority of renal diseases and is dysfunctional in all forms of CKD. By restoring or preserving the function of podocytes, we aim to transform the lives of individuals living with a broad range of renal conditions. We have discovered and validated two novel targets backed by substantial research at world-leading organizations and are now advancing two programs based on this research into the clinic.
