UX/UI Project Manager Overview

TapRm's growing team is seeking to hire a motivated, responsible and forward-thinking individual to play an integral role in the growth and expansion of TapRm's E-Commerce business. This is an opportunity to drive and manage the implementation of new features and improvement of existing customer experience across the website, where every decision that you make will have a direct impact on the TapRm Community’s experience on our site. At the early stages of a high-growth company, this job's projects may vary day by day, and we're looking for someone who relishes the opportunity to dive into new challenges and learn new skills along the way. This position will report to TapRm's Head of E-Commerce and is eligible for stock options so that our new UX/UI Project Manager can gradually build upon our functional capabilities and grow with the company. We expect that a hard-working person who fits TapRm's culture in this role will grow into additional responsibilities and lead a team within TapRm over time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities Include

-        Working closely with TapRm’s Head of Customer Acquisition, Creative Lead, and Head of E-Commerce to plan TapRm.com’s future function and aesthetic

-        Writing up detailed project descriptions and basic mockups and then using them as a jumping off point to work closely with developers to implement these ideas and bring them to life

-        Liaising between the developers and the E-Commerce team to collect feedback and iterate on project until all parties are satisfied with the outcome

-        Developing and managing the website’s project pipeline to responsibly organize and prioritize projection progress and completion

-        To the extent that the website changes do not require advanced coding knowledge, using the Shopify Plus admin and possibly basic HTML/CSS/Javascript/Liquid (depending on your prior skill level) to independently implement the process improvement or project change

 

Ideal Candidate's Experience & Qualifications

-        Graduated with a BA/BS from an accredited university with an excellent track record

-        Uniquely ability to think high-level to develop strategic initiatives but also be curious and detail-oriented to then execute these strategies as planned

-        1+ year(s) of ecommerce development, UI/UX design, product management or similar role working alongside developers

-        High-level understanding of HTML/CSS/Javascript

-        High-level understanding of APIs and software integrations or Zapier

-        Experience working within the Shopify platform

-        Exceptional communication with the ability to communicate seamlessly between colleagues with all different manners of thinking

-        Comfortable with uncertainty and ability to adapt to new projects and situations with a positive attitude

-        Extremely well-organized with strong attention to detail

-        Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively diving into projects without having to be asked

 

Bonus Points

-        Experience in a startup environment, specifically e-commerce

-        Fluency in HTML/CSS/Liquid/Javascript

-        Experience with APIs and software integrations and building workflows with Zapier

-        Proficiency in Shopify and Shopify Plus store admin

-        Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Suite or Sketch
