JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pinao Consulting is looking to hire a Senior Information Technology Project Manager to join our team supporting the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Office of the Chief Technology Officer (MC-I).

 

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Be responsible for all aspects of IT project performance (i.e., technical, contractual (through FMCSA Contract Officer Representative (COR)), administrative, financial) in accordance with FMCSA policies, processes and guidelines.

·        Manage all aspects of project activity.

·        Provide technical and financial reports in order to show progress to FMCSA management and customers.

·        Maintain customer contacts to ensure conformity to all contractual obligations.

·        Assume the initiative and provide support to FMCSA management in identifying future requirements.

·        Develop, maintain, and implement a Project Management Handbook per FMCSA template and standards that guides the performance of all functional activities performed on each project.

·        Exercise judgment, originality, and resourcefulness in ensuring that systems and services are developed and delivered in accordance with business owner requirements and current technology.

·        Apply agile project management principles where applicable including facilitating agile ceremonies and coaching product owners in backlog grooming.

·        Provide a monthly progress report outlining the status of tasks performed during the reporting period.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills / Qualifications:

·        Demonstrated experience with Agile Project Management

·        Demonstrated experience with Planning

·        Demonstrated experience with Requirement’s Analysis

·        Demonstrated experience with maintaining project schedules

·        Demonstrated experience with technical leadership

·        Demonstrated experience with managing matrixed project teams

·        Demonstrated experience with risk management & mitigation

·        Demonstrated experience with reporting project health and status to management & business stakeholders (dashboards are a plus)

·        Demonstrated experience with Microsoft suite of tools (Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)

·        Demonstrated experience with using Jira and Confluence

·        Demonstrated experience with documentation

·        Agile Certified

·        PMP certification preferred

·        8+ years of planning and executing projects (Includes 2 - 4 years managing federal IT projects involving web, enterprise, and cloud based applications).

 

Education:

·        Bachelor’s Degree
