Airspace Link is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager who will lead the company’s efforts to support the Business Development team in identifying and securing government grants and managing the company’s bids and proposals process. The Proposal Manager will research, identify, and write grant applications, and add overall value to the Business Development team’s proposals as they grow from a qualified lead to a proposal submission. The Proposal Manager must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and exceptional in written and oral technical communication.

The successful candidate will be supported by our Business Development, Product, and Operations teams with whom you will interact daily.

Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee priority bid opportunities in the form of RFPs, RFQs, SOQs, RFIs, and grant applications for new business pursuits at Airspace Link
  • Support the research, identification, and execution of proposals and grants as part of the Company business development effort, in a timely manner, meeting all agency guidelines/requirements, and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Write executive summaries and pursuit materials that articulate our strategic messaging in a compelling and persuasive manner
  • Capture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice
  • Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct content
  • Demonstrate a finely-tuned ability to sift through a discussion and previously established materials, extracting the most significant information and action items
  • Contact and follow up leads with granting organizations and agencies in support of the Business Development team
  • In collaboration with the Business Development, Product, Operations, and Engineering teams, manage the Company proposal process by assigning writing and proposal content development tasks, creating a schedule for the timing of deliverables, managing the team to ensure timeliness of deliverables, and supporting the creation of the final proposal submission.
  • In collaboration with the BD, Product, Operations, and Engineering teams, analyze and understand proposal requirements in order to advise the business of the resources required for proposal preparation and submission.
  • In collaboration with the BD, Operations, and Engineering teams, prepare the proposal pricing documentation.
  • Provide editorial support to ensure the highest standard of presentation and proposal quality.
  • Collaborate with business development, product manager, marketing, engineering, graphic designer, and professional service teams to build creative and innovative material.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of all submitted grant proposals to ensure compliance with RFx proposal instructions.


Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Administration, Aviation, or related field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in identifying, applying for, and receiving grants from public and private sources, technical writing, RFP, or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technical writing in aviation, mobility, UAS or related environment highly preferred
  • Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, and personal interaction skills
  • A quasi-journalistic ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clear for external parties
  • Agility and speed in executing strong writing Intellectual curiosity and ability to “get smart quick” on a wide variety of topics
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills combined with experience of managing relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
