What You’ll Do and the Impact You’ll Make

As part of our exciting expansion plans, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing team. Acting as the first touchpoint in the business development cycle, you will generate new sales opportunities to fuel Airspace Link's sales pipeline. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for qualified lead generation, which will involve researching and creating targeted lists of people in the government and private industry who could benefit from our AirHub™ products and services, reaching out to curated, targeted lists to identify sales opportunities, and guiding qualified prospects onto the next stage of the sales process by booking a further conversation between Airspace Link and the prospect.

Your work matters and your initiatives will set the foundation for successful business development activities of our regional Directors. Of course, what’s a job posting without some bullet points? Here are a few examples of what we are working on in the Business Development team:

  • Pioneering the safe and scalable growth of the drone industry by working with public and private sector organizations
  • Engaging with state and local governments to help them prepare and drive new growth from new drone technologies
  • Nurturing leads acquired from marketing events, webinars, tradeshows to secure meetings and demonstrations
  • Management of new business opportunities/pipeline, managing leads, follow-up, and booking meetings for the business development team
  • Qualification of prospects and leading them through the sales cycle along with partners
  • Coordination with business development and marketing teams regarding field and internal activities
  • 10% travel

What We’d Love to See

  • 2+ years of inside sales experience in a SaaS environment, preferably with exposure to the government industry
  • Industry experience in GIS, Geography, Aeronautical, Transportation, Bioscience, Planning, Defense, or related field preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and organization skills
  • Team player, who is able to work autonomously with a high level of drive
  • Prior CRM system experience (e.g., Salesforce or PipeDrive)
  • A university degree within Business, Sales or IT, or equivalent years of experience
  • Ability to work in the United States; at this time we are unable to offer sponsorships
