What you’ll be doing:
Cask is seeking an Intern in our Accounting & Finance Department. This role is responsible for Accounting and Finance tasks related to Sales, Labor and Travel reporting, all while delivering quality internal and external customer service while demonstrating competencies in all the areas of responsibility and the ability to grow with the organization
· Perform various aspects of accounting including labor reconciliations, timekeeping analysis and auditing of accounting data
· Assist in the auditing of Travel and Expense report; working with traveler and or admin to ensure compliance with processes and procedures
· Use Analytical skills to assist in reviewing of Travel and Expense reporting
· Use Analytical skills to assist in reviewing weekly labor reporting
· Assess business processes to identify ways to more accurately forecast, analyze and report results.
· Gain exposure to various tools to include Jamis Prime, Power BI and Concur software
· Assist in applying knowledge to analyze, investigate and resolve non-routine problems
· Ability to interface with middle and senior level management and articulate financial information in a clear and concise manner.
· Performs other duties as assigned or required.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree program in Accounting or related field of study at an AACSB accredited college or university
- Achieved a 3.2/4.0 GPA or higher
- Rising Junior/Senior or graduate student
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving & analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong independent judgment and leadership skills
- Support team members through leadership
- Experience working within a rapidly growing organization
- Want and make a difference
- Experience working in government contracting with exposure to DCAA, FAR, CAS
- Track record of self-driven accomplishments
