Job Overview:

Responsible for the maintenance and support of our extensive medical equipment product catalog, SpecSource. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information is readily available and continuously updated for 4-Tower’s clients and partners.

 

This position will be vendor and client facing in several capacities, and shall represent the company in a professional, positive, and supportive manner to maintain and elevate vendor collaboration and overall client satisfaction in the product content and use of 4Tower’s planning system.  This role will also collaborate with multiple teams (e.g., Sales, Client Success, and Development) to address and advance the firm’s strategic goals, staff advancement and best practices.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years in relevant experience
  • Background with MEQ Planning Engineering, Medical Equipment Sales and/or Support, Computer Science or related work environment
  • Previous database knowledge supporting a SaaS client base or other professional services
  • Specific knowledge of medical equipment and its basic specifications and MEP requirements
  • Understanding of the Equipment Planning Process, workflows, deliverables, common medical acronyms, and typical healthcare departments and room types

 

Software Knowledge:

  • High technical competence of standard MS Office applications with a strong emphasis on Excel
  • Knowledge with Jira or similar Issue Tracking software is an advantage
  • Experience with updating content within a database environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Catalog Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement strategies for catalog growth and enhancement, focusing on expanding the range of products and improving data quality while consdiering overall impact to system users.
    • Manage the overall integrity and accuracy of the medical equipment product catalog.
    • Lead a team responsible for catalog content management, setting goals, and tracking progress towards enhancing the platform's utility and usability.
    • Regularly update and maintain product information, including specifications, features, pricing, and availability.
    • Oversee the management and continuous improvement of the SpecSource product catalog, including the accuracy and completeness of product specifications, 3D models, and related data.

 

  1. Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales team to improve the SpecSource interface and usability based on user feedback and analytic insights.

 

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Maintain and contribute to quality assurance processes to validate the correctness and consistency of product data within the catalog.
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of catalog data, addressing and resolving discrepancies and errors swiftly.

 

  1. Vendor Communication:
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with vendors to obtain accurate and timely updates on product information, new releases, and discontinuations.
    • Collaborate with manufacturers to facilitate the efficient upload and standardization of product information, ensuring a seamless integration into our platform.
    • Present and oversee vendor presentations to demonstrate system benefits.
    • Collect and organize vendor feedback and support planning efforts to document and scope new features and functionality.
    • Solicit and Coordinate presenters for 4Tower’s Vendor Present Series highlighting Vendor Partners. 

 

  1. Training and Documentation:
    • Contribute to training programs for clients regarding the use and understanding of the product catalog.
    • Maintain and contribute to documentation related to catalog management processes and guidelines.
  2. Troubleshooting:
    • Act as a point of contact for catalog-related client inquiries.
    • Verify new product requests against existing repository to eliminate duplications.
    • Identify any 4Tower platform catalog-related issues for resolution.
  3. Data Analysis:
    • Utilize analytical tools to analyze catalog data and trends, providing insights to inform business decisions and improvements.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in managing the product catalog.
    • Maintain and contribute to best practices to optimize catalog maintenance workflows.
  5. Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure that product information adheres to industry standards and compliance requirements.
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards related to medical equipment.
