Job Description – Field Coordinator / Inventory Specialist


Summary Objective:


The Field Coordinator / Inventory Specialist’s responsibilities include: visiting project sites to coordinate deliveries, validating & quantifying inventory and reporting field issues to the Logistics & Project Management Team. The Field Coordinator (“FC”) supports the project and is responsible for investigating and communicating project status and service issues to ensure immediate responsiveness to client’s needs.  The FC serves as a liaison to develop and maintain client relations in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing to travel with own vehicle and must have a clean driving record
  • Interpersonal skills using professionalism, patience, and courtesy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office/Excel/Outlook/Adobe Acrobat Pro)
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Warehouse & inventory control experience a plus
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • DMV and criminal background check (Required)


Job Responsibilities (essential functions):

  • Visit project sites and assist in all matters as assigned
  • When working in a warehouse responsible for receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking, verifying shipment accuracy, marking material with codes to be identified, and helping clients in the field.
  • Work at construction sites, company warehouses, and other storage facilities.
  • Inspect delivered material, confirm material quantity and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Weltmann Lighting’s (WL) Project Management Department
  • Report field issues to the Project Management & Logistic Teams
  • Develop spreadsheets in MS Excel and prepare necessary documents, including field reports utilizing both MS Word and WL custom software
  • Perform inventory counts at jobsites and warehouses
  • Travel to various locations in the local metro NY and NJ area
  • Receive and visually inspect all orders, photograph boxes and parts, compare and document with Weltmann Lighting documentation
  • Plan and organize, daily warehouse operation and activities
  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required
  • Track shipments and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our clients and field representatives
  • Compliance with company designated attire
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
