The Kitchen Staff assists with all aspects in the kitchen area. Their primary duties include stocking ingredients, slicing produce, cutting meat into portions and cleaning the kitchen.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:  

·       Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients

·       Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters

·       Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed

·       Unloading fresh supplies and organizing the stockroom

·       Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock

·       Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans

·       Observing cooking times and correct temperatures

·       Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and sanitation policies

·       Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Required Education and Experience

·       High School Diploma or equivalent required

·       Previous experience in a restaurant preferred

·       Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred

·       Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions.

·       Enjoys working with the public to provide exceptional customer service

·       Adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment

·       Ability to work in a team

·       Very good communication skills

·       Excellent physical condition and stamina

·       Must have command of the English language
