About BCG Corp

Bernardo Consulting Group (BCG) is an independent physical security consulting firm headquartered in Denton, TX. We design access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems for hyperscale data center clients, working alongside leading architecture and engineering firms across the country.

We are a lean, founder-led firm in a growth phase — adding key roles across recruiting, IT, engineering, and finance over the next 12 months. We invest in process, people, and the long view. Our people work remotely, collaborate across time zones, and own meaningful pieces of the business from day one.

About the Role

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist owns BCG's recruiting function end-to-end and serves as a senior backup on substantive HR work. You will run the full requisition lifecycle independently — sourcing, screening, assessment coordination, interviews, offers, and onboarding initiation — across 5-7 concurrent open roles in a high-growth environment. On the HR side, you'll administer our PEO platform (TriNet), maintain personnel records, manage compliance workflows, and serve as a knowledgeable partner to our Senior HR Generalist on broader HR matters.

This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role. You will work directly with our President and senior leadership, exercising sound judgment without daily supervision. Discretion, follow-through, and a genuine commitment to candidate experience are essential.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition  (≈ 65% of role)

  • Manage active requisitions across all roles — engineering, design, support, internships. Track each req from intake through offer.
  • Source actively through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and our referral network. Build a passive pipeline for recurring needs.
  • Screen and shortlist candidates using evidence-based assessment standards — objective scoring weighted over resume claims.
  • Coordinate skills assessments (TestGorilla and role-specific evaluations) and route results to hiring managers.
  • Own interview scheduling end-to-end — calendar coordination across hiring managers, candidates, and panels. Prepare interview packets and scorecards.
  • Execute reference checks and manage background-check workflows. Surface red flags promptly.
  • Prepare offer letters from approved templates. Coordinate offer extension, negotiation support, and acceptance documentation.
  • Lead candidate communication with timeliness and professionalism. Our reputation in the talent market is shaped by every interaction.
  • Report on pipeline metrics weekly — time-to-fill, source-of-hire, candidate flow.

HR Administration & Backup  (≈ 25% of role)

  • Administer TriNet PEO as BCG's primary operator — new hires, status changes, payroll updates, terminations.
  • Maintain audit-ready personnel files for every employee, managing retention and access controls.
  • Execute employee onboarding from offer acceptance through 90-day check-in. Coordinate handoffs to IT and team leads.
  • Manage compliance workflows including I-9, new hire reporting, and benefits enrollment forms.
  • Support benefits enrollment for new hires and annual open enrollment.
  • Track PTO and time-off records; process requests; escalate exceptions.
  • Coordinate offboarding administrative tasks including final pay, equipment recovery, and COBRA documentation.

Internship Program  (≈ 10% of role)

  • Coordinate BCG's university internship program — operational paperwork, faculty liaison communications, timesheet administration, and intern evaluations.
  • Onboard interns under the same employee onboarding framework, adjusted for intern classification.
  • Support program expansion to additional universities and roles as the program matures.

What You Bring

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in talent acquisition / recruiting, with meaningful exposure to HR administration or HR generalist work
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling interviews, managing candidate pipelines, and coordinating multi-party hiring processes
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Employer, or similar professional sourcing platforms
  • Familiarity with HRIS / payroll / PEO platforms — TriNet preferred; equivalent PEO or HRIS experience welcome
  • Working knowledge of US employment compliance basics — I-9, E-Verify, state new-hire reporting, background-check protocols
  • Professional written communication — your candidate emails, offer letters, and internal messages must be polished and error-free
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with names, dates, dollar figures, and compliance documentation
  • Strong discretion with confidential information — personnel files, compensation data, and candidate records
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience in AEC, engineering consulting, or professional services
  • Familiarity with TestGorilla or similar pre-employment assessment platforms
  • Experience supporting a multi-state employer or a fully remote workforce
  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Familiarity with Odoo, Microsoft 365 admin, or similar business platforms

Work Setup

This is a 100% remote role open to US-based candidates in any time zone, with availability for core business hours overlap with US Central Time.
