Based in Santa Monica, CA, TriNet Cloud is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer with the drive to ship superior products and a passion for and dedication to the Craft of Software Engineering*. The day-to-day will be split between increasing unit-test coverage, refactoring existing code, and building out new features and products.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the fundamentals of OOP/OOD, SOA and multi-tiered architectures. We're looking for another consummate collaborator, eager and driven to move things forward with peers and other teams.

In addition to the above, the most qualified candidate will possess the following skills:

- (required) Strong understanding of relational data design and SQL.
- (required) Experience with Unit-Testing.
- (desired) Understanding of and experience with applying the SOLID principles.
- (desired) Experience with PHP.
- (desired) Experience with JavaScript and one or more frameworks such as React, Backbone.js, AngularJS.
- (nice to have) Experience with HTML, CSS and responsive layout techniques.
- (nice to have) Experience with any strongly-typed, compiled language.
