The Product Executive (PE)
is responsible for providing corporate-wide, cross-functional leadership to
increase market share for their products in the desired markets. The executive
will provide visible leadership with regular communication forums that promote
continuous evaluation of trends in the market to refine the strategy and
execution. The PE is the voice of the product line, both externally to the
market and internally to colleagues dedicated to the product line (sales and
client services) and to those colleagues in a functional service organization.
This executive will interact
with representatives from each of the go-to-market and functional groups and
will lead through building trust, relationships, and influence. Importantly,
the PE will become a key customer for each of TriNet’s functional service
departments and will justify investment in the product line through the
drafting and execution of a product-line business plan. This leader will
lead the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual review meetings for the product
line and will be the champion of the product line to all colleagues.
The PE will be tasked with
driving the attributes of his or her product line and with increasing market
penetration as defined by the percentage of market by geography. They will
spend time in-market to understand key problems and needs and to find
innovative solutions for the broader market. In addition, significant time will
be spent with the Field organizations, customers, and trusted advisors, while
working closely with industry advisors, consultants, and experts. The PE will
use this knowledge and these interactions to craft the overall business
requirements ranging from insurance products to technology to the service
interaction model.
The goal for this position is
to maximize predictable long term revenue, profit, and growth for their product
lines. An important aspect of the role is the development of a multi-year
strategic plan, containing objectives, product roadmaps, and the strategy to
both define and penetrate the targeted markets. The PE must have the experience
to lead a big-picture vision for their products and have the drive to make that
vision a reality.
