Liberation in a Generation is a movement support organization dedicated to advancing the economic liberation of people of color within one generation. Formed in 2018, LibGen is dedicated to building the power of people of color to totally transform the economy—who controls it, how it works, and most importantly, for whom. We bring together advocates, community organizers, economists, and other proven and emerging leaders of color across the country to build a Liberation Economy, within one generation.
Position Summary
The Database and Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Operations Team by efficiently managing administrative tasks, facilitating organizational processes, overseeing financial transactions, and ensuring robust data management practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset to address evolving needs. This person will know how to keep processes running smoothly while making room for constant improvement and innovation. They can roll with big ideas and manage fine details at the same time and are a team player that works at building deep relationships, which are effective for propelling our mission forward.

Core Responsibilities
Data Management
Managing the integrity of our organizational data by working with Chief Operating Officer (COO), executive office and programs teams to streamline on an org-wide database.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, including data entry, data cleaning, and routine audits.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for fundraising, program evaluation, comms and strategic planning.
Analyze data trends to provide insights for decision-making and measure organizational impact.
Financial Administration
Assist with financial data entry and reconciliation within the database system, including donor contributions and expense tracking.
Maintain all vendor files, vendor expense contracts, and general financial files.
Support the COO by responding to internal and external financial inquiries.
Process incoming and outgoing honorariums, collecting vendor W-9 forms and executing payments.
Manage all professional development and purchase requests for all staff, including purchasing of equipment, processing of professional development activities (sometimes includes travel logistics), and recordkeeping of expenses.
Collaborate with the finance and development team to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
Organizational Support
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or certification in relevant fields
Strong organizational skills, specifically the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data analysis, project planning, and process documentation.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills with extensive experience in data analysis and reporting, coupled with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The Operations Coordinator is a full-time exempt position with the anticipated salary range of $75,000 - $84,000, depending on direct experience. LibGen offers competitive benefits, including employer-paid medical insurance (including dental and vision, Life, AD&D and disability. As an organization that values reflection, and ensuring our team has the ability to show up fully, we also provide unlimited PTO, and three dedicated all staff paid reset weeks.
Our team is fully remote, however this position will be required to travel for in-person special events, occasional business meetings, and donor meetings.
