Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in integrating software systems, working with APIs, and enhancing integration performance. Your role will involve collaborating with development staff to expand existing integrations, documenting processes, and training team members on new integration techniques.


 


This is a full-time, remote position. Your work hours are a fixed schedule, Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm CST.  This position requires a dedicated workspace, free from interruptions.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Integrate APIs into existing software systems and resolve related issues

  • Document software processes thoroughly and ensure documentation is consistently updated

  • Develop and maintain robust integration software solutions

  • Audit and evaluate integration performance, implementing necessary improvements

  • Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements and effectively communicate progress and updates


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience

  • Proven experience in software integration and API development

  • At least 2 years of experience with object-oriented PHP

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in web application development


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with EdTech integrations

  • Prior experience working with student information systems such as Skyward Qmlativ, Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience building secure public-facing APIs
