Title: Resale Intern

Type: Part Time Internship

Report to: The Office Associate of 6 Stones Mission Network

Summary: If you are interested in learning more about non profit organizations and how they work, come learn with us at 6 Stones Mission Network, A Catalyst of Hope. In the process, you will undergo training in non profit leadership, learn and leverage non profit software and engage in projects that will develop communication and leadership skills. This education in non profit organizational leadership benefits our organization and helps our community and neighbors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pickup donations utilizing 6 Stones box truck, and deliver to the Resale storage facility.




• Safely and efficiently move donated items onto truck to be offloaded at Resale storage. 




• Ensure that each donor receives outstanding service, which includes:






• Greeting each donor with a friendly smile upon arrival;




• Thanking each donor for their donation upon arriving and before leaving;




• Giving each donor a packet of information which includes the donation receipt;




• Immediate followup with Office Associate for complaints, miscommunication, etc.




• Careful treatment of donors’ property.






• Keep box truck well maintained and clean, and fill out truck maintenance forms weekly.




• Keep track of all gas and maintenance receipts and submit to Finance Associate weekly.




• Follow directions given by the Office Associate, and be flexible with any changes. 




• Adhere to proper lifting techniques.




• Must maintain a clean and safe driving record on personal and company time.




• Anything else designated by the Office Associate or Chief Financial Officer.

Projects:

• Organize resale location;




• Develop Daily/Weekly/Monthly schedules;




• Ebay/Craigslist/FB Marketplace sales;




• Document Resale processes;

• Fleet maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs;




• Ability to stand, squat, bend, climb stairs, and climb in and out of truck cab and box regularly during an 8 hour day;
  
  




• Ability to work outside in all types of weather, including heat, cold, and rain.

General Requirements:

• Positive attitude, customer service oriented, good interpersonal skills and strong verbal communication skills.
