Title: Development and Grants Coordinator


Type: Full Time Exempt Position


Salary: Range from $48K - $55K annually; dependent on experience


Report to: Chief Development Officer of 6 Stones Mission Network


Work Description: The Development and Grants Coordinator is a team-level, staff position under the administrative direction of the Chief Development Officer. The Development and Grants Coordinator’s primary purpose is to support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement and management, as well as write and track fundraising grant proposals and reports.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Learn 6 Stones Mission Network’s history, mission, and program information so that it may be clearly communicated to individuals outside of the organization, as well as model being an 6 Stones ambassador, encouraging other staff to also carry out our culture of philanthropy.


  1. Work with the Chief Development Officer, Executive Director and the Resource Development Committee (RDC) to develop and execute 6 Stones’ annual fundraising plan, which includes but is not limited to, quantitative fundraising objectives, specific strategies for achieving objectives and operating budget required to implement the plan, as well as effectively implement activities related to special fundraising events.


  1. Manage a portfolio of 6 Stones’ monthly donors known as the Coalition, with a  focus on donor stewardship and engagement, keeping the Coalition informed on 6 Stones’ current events via a monthly newsletter.


  1. Research, develop, write, submit and track grants proposals and reports in support of 6 Stones’ programs and strategic initiatives. This includes monthly grant updates sent to program directors and executive team.


  1. Create and meet quarterly S.M.A.R.T. goals which support the Chief Development Officer’s and 6 Stones’ quarterly and annual goals. These goals will be evaluated with the Chief Development Officer on a quarterly and annual basis.


  1. Complete and assign donor follow up and acknowledgement efforts according to the 6 Stones’ Donor Acknowledgement Matrix.


  1. Collaborate in planning and coordination of, as well as attending regular donor engagement opportunities and events (i.e. Annual Catalyst of Hope Luncheon, Hungry for Hope Luncheon, Monthly Catalyst Lunches, Behind the Scenes events, etc.) and execute follow up strategies for each event.


  1. Work with the Chief Development Officer to train other staff in processes and activities that will increase donor retention, as well as assisting in the execution of those activities.


  1. Attend and provide reports and/or agendas for staff, department and committee meetings as needed.


  1. Assist the Chief Development Officer and Executive Director in other areas or with other duties as assigned.


  1. Attend and assist with other events on evenings and/or weekends as the 6 Stones calendar requires.



Preferences:


  1. Non-Profit Experience or Training


  1. Grant Writing Experience or Certification


  1. Proficiency in Bloomerang Donor Software, Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, and Asana Task Management
