IAB Tech Lab is seeking a senior technology expert to join our dynamic team and drive the programs responsible for evolving programmatic standards through shifts in the digital advertising ecosystem. The Director Programmatic, Product Management at IAB Tech Lab is a unique opportunity to be at the center of programmatic digital advertising This role will contribute to the health and success of a range of standards in real time bidding, supply chain transparency and ad fraud detection.
This position combines skills leading technical projects with participation from leaders at companies in the digital advertising ecosystem. The candidate will be working across multiple working groups requiring domain knowledge, program management and project management skills.
What You’ll Do:
● Working with Tech Lab member companies, trade organizations and teammates to gather technical and business requirements for evolutions to OpenRTB, OpenDirect, Supply Chain Transparency Standards (such as ads.txt, app-ads.txt and sellers.json) and more.
● Leading Tech Lab working groups and related projects to execute and deliver on roadmap
● Partnering closely with Tech Lab software development, product management and engineering to deliver and support related standards, products, services and tools.
● Onboarding, consulting and advising ad tech companies on Tech Lab’s standards, products and services for programmatic efficiency and ad fraud detection.
● Participating in Tech Lab and third-party events to drive awareness and adoption of Tech Lab’s standards, products and services
● Manage and evangelize open source projects and developer community focused on programmatic standards.
● Communicating and presenting technical requirements in plain and simple language that’s easily understood by a broader audience.
● Working with marketing, other product managers and the operations team to support launch of new standards, products, services and tools in programmatic.
Who You Are:
● You have 5-12 years of product and/or program management experience in technology/software, ideally in digital advertising space.
● You love product management and have an in depth understanding of product management processes.
● You have a deep understanding of advertising technology and workflows including programmatic/real time bidding technology.
● You have experience and knowledge of working with web and device OS technology.
● You have at least 2-5 years of experience communicating opportunity assessment and product benefits to company leadership and other audiences. This should include experience through creation of documentation and by delivering presentations/meetings.
● You have experience with IAB Tech Lab standards is a plus.
● You have experience or knowledge of collaborative standards setting are a plus.
● Formal project management experience is a plus.
Big-Plus:
● You have operational experience in ad tech, digital e-comm or identity/data management.
● You have an advanced degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (e.g. engineering, application development, information systems, etc).
● You have previous experience contributing to IAB Tech Lab, other ad industry working groups or open-source standards.
● You have formal project management experience is a plus.
