Battle Beaver Customs is hiring for several full-time (40 hours/ week) Controller Technician positions in the North Dallas (Richardson) area.

Our company builds custom performance gaming controllers tailored to competitive console gamers. Battle Beaver controllers are used by professionals around the world and have been the tool of choice for many major tournament champions. Our company's success is found in its staff, the employees of Battle Beaver understand the importance of the equipment needed to play at the highest level and strive to provide professional-grade controllers to everyone.

We are looking for candidates with strong critical thinking skills and attention to small details. Technicians will need to diagnose malfunctions in the building process and troubleshoot issues for existing products across various generations with speed and competence. Due to the nature of our work, employees will have the ability to build their own schedule to follow and maintain. The ideal employee will set an example for current / future staff and have an intermediate understanding of small electronics.

Job Summary


  • Assist and carry out daily business operations and maintenance

  • Modify new and old 1st party gaming controllers

  • Operate small hand tools (E.g. Screwdrivers, X-acto knives, rotary tool, soldering iron)

  • Potentially travel to gaming events around the country (Optional)

  • Perform and maintain inventory records

Minimum Qualifications


  • Must have high school diploma/ GED

  • Willingness to learn video games

  • Small electronics or other relevant technical/ creative experience

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions

  • Exercise fair judgment and strong decision-making skills

  • Legally able to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with soldering small electronics

  • Experience with small detail cutting equipment (x-acto knife/sculpting)

  • Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Pay


  • Payng at $15 - $16/hr

  • Pay raises based on ability and initiative
