Data Analytics and
Reporting Specialist

Job Summary

This position will
report to the DiCOM Product Director and will play an integral, hands-on role
in leading the development and delivery of key business intelligence dashboards
and reporting solutions.

The Data Analytics and
Reporting Specialist will partner with DiCOM customers to design, develop and implement
innovative technicalsolutions to solve business problems. This role will be
highly engaged with understanding customers business problems and data needed
to support informed decisions. They will be well skilled at listening and
uncovering the root of problems to be solved. They will work throughout the
customer organization to identify data available and opportunities to capture
additional data needed for further analysis.

The Data Analytics and
Reporting Specialist will support the software product lifecycle by providing
product and/or industry expertise in all customer engagement activities
including demonstrations, act as a trusted advisor to the customer and help
design, implement and explain the value of innovative business analytics
solutions. The ideal candidate will have
the unique ability to identify and understand business goals and recommend a
strategy and approach to ensure the necessary data is in place to develop the
most effective visualization of information to support business goals.

Principal
Responsibilities

• Responsible for the development
  of high-impact, value-driven user dashboards and reports


• Translate customer operational
  needs into data analytics that deliver business value


• 
  Works with end-users to develop skills in the areas of
  reporting, querying, and analytics
  


• 
  Facilitates communication with
  end-users regarding training opportunities, availability of reporting
  tools, roll-out of new capabilities, enhancements, etc.
  


• 
  Provides first level technical support for both existing
  and new reports, dashboards, or other tools
  


• Architect data and analytics
  support models to enable customer goals for driving decisions with data


• Articulate the business case
  and value proposition for data analytics


• Strategically manage analytics
  offerings to achieve business growth goals


• Champion the analytics
  innovation agenda inside the company and with customers


• Publish technical material and
  contribute to innovation in the analytics space


• Build internal and external
  relationships around data analytics offering best practices


• Contribute subject matter
  expertise for pursuit of new business opportunities


• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

The ideal candidate
will align with the following experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer
  engineering or other related discipline from accredited program


• Broad experience with Business Intelligence &
  Analytics platforms


• Experience applying data science to meet practical
  business needs


• Knowledge of BI & Analytic patterns and the ability
  to implement them across many tools & platforms


• Previous roles that engaged with external customers in
  a consulting capacity


• Working with customer IT staff to deploy/integrate/adopt
  intelligence and reporting platforms


• Solving problems with data that lead to results with
  business impact


• Developing customer relationships


• Working with customers to identify requirements and
  gather data to develop high-impact dashboards and reports


• Introduce new concepts to the organization that drive
  data culture


• Listening to customers to define and develop key
  performance indicators


• Smart data discovery tools and techniques


• Data governance strategies


• Drive to keep skills aligned with new data analytics
  methods and technologies


• Ability to teach technical concepts related to data

  Software
  

A minimum of three years of recent, hands-on
experience or equivalent training/education in ad-hoc reporting and analysis,
including:

• Proven Experience with ad-hoc
  analysis and reporting tools (SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Qlikview,
  etc.)


• Demonstrated Ability for the creation
  of reports, scorecards and dashboards using these tools



• Data warehouse concepts and
  querying including the ability to understand SQL.
