As a Program Intern, you’ll receive training in nonprofit operations, utilize industry-specific software, and contribute to meaningful projects that strengthen your communication and leadership skills—all while supporting our mission and neighbors.
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Intern to help plan and implement our annual holiday program and food drive. This role combines administrative tasks with direct event coordination, including volunteer management, event setup, and ensuring a welcoming and well-organized experience for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support such as scheduling, data entry, email communication, and tracking volunteer sign-ups.
Assist in organizing and leading program activities and events.
Help with volunteer recruitment, coordination and support.
Participate in setup and breakdown of event spaces, including organization and moving supplies.
Ensure that event logistics run smoothly, and guests/participants have a positive experience.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the program.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Friendly, positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing needs.
Comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge or proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed leading up to and during the events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, or administrative work.
Passion for community service.
Interest in non-profit work and a desire to make a positive impact.
Undergraduate or graduate student.
