The Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Founders First Capital Partners (Founders First) will play a crucial role in the growth and success of diverse-led companies. Founders First provides access to capital, advisory services, and access to small business accelerator programs to underrepresented entrepreneurs, fostering economic growth, and bridging the wealth gap faced by minority-owned businesses. 

 

Founders First is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager with a strong track record of predictably driving qualified leads and conversions.  This role requires a proactive, goal-oriented, data-driven individual with excellent communication skills, who is passionate about entrepreneurship and making a meaningful impact on diverse founders' lives. As the Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing and executing one-to-one marketing initiatives including but not limited to: email marketing communications, inbound and outbound calling campaigns, SEO, website, thought leaderships, paid digital and social media campaigns with new and existing customers to drive conversions and a smooth transition to the sales team. The Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager will work closely with marketing, business development and other partners to ensure the continued growth and success of the diverse-led companies.

Background Requirements for Success 

A highly favorable candidate for the Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager position at Founders First Capital Partners has a strong background in demand generation to drive new leads throughout the prospect/customer journey building multiple touchpoint in new and existing paid and unpaid channels (email, phone and organic), specifically within the small business sectors. This performance-driven individual has demonstrated success in developing and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns that drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation. With exceptional time management skills, the candidate can prioritize tasks effectively and work independently, ensuring that all objectives are met in a timely manner. Their goal-oriented mindset, coupled with a deep understanding of the small business ecosystem, allows them to optimize and scale demand-generation initiatives, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of diverse-led businesses. 

 

Professional Characteristics

1. Bachelor’s Degree 

2. 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on demand generation and campaign management. Specific experience in financial services or lending space is a plus

3. Proven track record of creating and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver measurable results 

4. Proficient with Salesforce for managing leads, contacts, accounts and opportunities

5. Proficient with Hubspot platform (email, social, workflows)

6. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

7. 3+ years of experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads

8. Excellent project management and organization skills 

9. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly

10. Leadership experience in managing marketing teams, agencies and third-party contractors is preferred

11. Familiarity with inbound and outbound contact management, strategies, best practices and tools preferred. 

 

Responsibilities

Lead Generation and Nurturing

● Develop lead generation strategies that capture, qualify, and nurture leads through various stages of the marketing and sales funnel 

Campaign Strategy Development 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage campaign objectives, target audience personas, messaging, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Multi-Channel Campaign Execution and Improvement

● Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital (email, website, social media), phone, events, webinars, content marketing, partnerships and more 

Content Creation

● Work with content resources to create compelling and relevant thought leadership assets that align with campaign themes and resonate with the target audience 

Owned Channel Optimization

● Maximize and manage the use of owned channels such as company website, blog and social media profiles to drive organic engagement and conversions 

Data-Driven Decision Making

● Utilize data and analytics to continuously monitor campaign performance, optimize outcomes, scale strategies and drive improvements based on insights

Budget Management

● Manage campaign budget effectively to achieve maximum ROI and quality conversions 

Team Leadership 

● Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and company vision 

 

Compensation:

$115,000 - $125,000 starting with a $1,500 signing bonus

Organizational Information: 

This role works closely with Marketing and Business Development Teams and reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. 

 

Additional Information

Preference for San Diego based candidates, we will consider non-San Diego based candidates.

If based in San Diego, this role is a hybrid role based in San Diego, CA that requires 3 days in-office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 2 days remote (Monday and Friday)
