About the Role:
The Principal, Organizational Health & Performance, (West Region) is primarily responsible for serving as a point of contact for affiliates in the west coast. Working to strengthen connectivity between the national office and the network; activate the network to increase the adoption of strategic initiatives through core and advanced supports; and maximize opportunities for growth and efficiencies to position the network to have a strategic impact.
The National Office Support of CIS State Offices and Local Affiliates through Core and Advanced Supports.
- Serve as Point of Contact to support assigned affiliates and State Offices. Building relationships to activate National strategic priorities through National resources and opportunities.
- Consult on a broad range of non-profit and organizational health topics, including but not limited to business and strategic planning, board development, financial management, resource development, program development, diversity and inclusion, and risk management.
- Provide consultative support for assigned affiliates undergoing restructuring, leadership transitions, or emergencies.
- Consult around growth strategies and expansion efforts for targeted affiliates.
- Provide support to the network to ensure a network voice influences national decision-making and strengthens network adoption and support for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to provide training and supports for affiliates without state offices.
- Serve as network liaison for cross-functional teams to support advanced strategic initiatives.
- Identify trends and best practices; look for recurring customer needs that could be converted into training, tools and resources.
- Support cross-functional strategic impact work as assigned.
- Understand and synthesize the external trends and bring the knowledge to the state offices and local affiliates.

- Master’s in Public Affairs, Business Administration, Social Work or Organizational Development
- Minimum 8 yrs Manager level experience in a non-profit organization
- Able to scale and grow programming focused on integrated student support services, and/or federal schools’ improvements programs
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Proven strength in organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Demonstrated strength and proven track record in business development and project management
The position will work remotely. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
*Minimum travel up to 30% is required
