USRowing selects, trains, and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition. The organization serves a diverse array of constituencies including novice learn-to-rowers, masters rowers, national team athletes, collegiate rowers, adaptive rowers, and coastal rowers.

Job Summary:
USRowing is seeking dedicated and experienced U19 USRowing National Team Assistant Coaches for both the men's and women's teams. These assistant coaches will play a vital role in assisting the U19 Team Head Coaches in all aspects of the U19 team selection process, athlete development, and potentially coaching at the U19 World Rowing Championships.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration with Head Coaches:

Work closely with the U19 Team Head Coaches to implement the camp's vision and training plans.

Collaborate on athlete selection and invitations for U19 winter high-performance and summer selection camps.

Assist in the identification and recruitment of top U19 athletes for the HP Winter and U19 Summer Selection Camp.

Athlete Development:

Focus on long-term athlete development, including technical, physical, and mental aspects of rowing.

Provide guidance and mentorship to athletes to help them reach their full potential.

Coaching at Major Events:

Coach individual boats at the U19 World Rowing Championships

Ensure that coaching approaches align with the overall team strategy and vision set by the Head Coaches and USRowing’s Chief High Performance Officer.

Team Cohesion:

Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and support among athletes within the U19 National Team.

Promote a positive and athlete-centered approach to coaching and development.
Qualifications:
-
Previous coaching experience in a collaborative coaching environment, prioritizing team cohesion and athlete-centered coaching.

Demonstrated success in coaching and recruiting junior or collegiate rowers.

USRowing Level 2 coaching certification required.

Strong understanding of long-term athlete development principles.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a coaching team.

Salary Range: $4-5000
