About the Position:

The Energy Efficiency Administrator Associate is responsible for providing quality assurance application review and processing to meet residential energy efficiency program guided improvements and rebate standards as designated by client programs sponsored by utility, government, and municipality or other community partner programs or those of Build It Green.   The Associate provides support, instruction, and communicates as needed via email or telephone, to contractors, clients, and other stakeholders participating in Build It Green client programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES

 Application Review – 80%

·         Perform computer-based review and processing activities using a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform – SalesForce and data entry for assigned client programs.

·         Assure high quality standards for application and documentation review, always to ensure positive client interactions.

·         Provide technical support to participating Contractors / Independent BPI Analyst related to applications processing.   Building Contractors and Independent BPI Analysts/Raters are our primary clients the role will serve

·         Ensure strict enforcement of program health and safety standards during the application review process to verify that combustion safety client standards are met by the contractor service.

·        Ensure Contractor participants are performing within client program guidelines and requirements.

·      Read, analyze and interpret complex documents and energy modeling software, including change orders, building permits, contractor scope of work, window specifications, combustion safety forms and equipment efficiency certifications.

Department Coordination -10%

·         Assist in the ongoing refinement and enhancement of the application review process.

·         Provide feedback to contractors regarding installation specifications, such as HVAC, insulation, water heaters, etc.

·         Work with internal, Build It Green IT personnel to report issues, support development and maintenance of the client portals.

·         Provide input into the identification, development, and implementation of more effective processes, products, and services that may be provided to serve the client and respective contractors.

 

Outreach and Communication 10%

·         Utilize excellent customer service phone skills to promote and explain Build It Green’s activities and programs parameters related to residential programs.

·         Assist with outreach to contractors, to update application status or progress.

·         Conduct research and troubleshoot as needed which may involve internet search, client account validation, permit validation using city permit sites or other resources such as Zillow. 

 

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

·         Minimum High School diploma required; further education such as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is preferred.  Knowledge of residential construction industry, including sustainable building practices is a key component of this position and a highly preferred requisite.

·         Knowledge of the residential construction industry codes and standards, sustainable building practices and energy efficiency preferred. 

·         Professional Green building training will be provided in support of delivering high quality customer service.

·         Certified Green Building Professional, presented by Build It Green will be offered to the employees as a part of the job training in the initial 12-months of employment.

·         BPI Building Analyst Certification as presented by Building Professional Institute (BPI) is a plus.

·         Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and Windows operating system.

·         Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to listen effectively, to select and use appropriate communication methods, and to present ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing.

·         Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team.

·         Prioritize multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.

·         Read, analyze and interpret complex documents, including change orders, building permits, contractor scope of work, etc.  

·         Respond effectively to changing situations and sensitive inquiries or complaints.

·         Maintain a high degree of professionalism with every customer action and decision to in terms of organization and impact.

  This job requires 90-95% web-based, online computer desk work, and is office based.
