Salary Range: $26.50/hour.- $28.00/hour.

About the Role

 

The Human Resources Associate will provide day-to-day support for HR operations and will report to the Senior Director, HR Operations. This position will collaborate with members of the Human Resources team and provide support across a variety of HR functions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support new hire onboarding, including, but not limited to, preparing paperwork, handling I9s, coordinating orientations and meetings, and maintaining digital employee records.
  • Assist with employee offboarding, including, but not limited to, preparing separation paperwork, coordinating exit processes, and updating digital employee records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and HR databases.
  • Assist with payroll, leave, benefits, and other HR administration.
  • Respond to employee questions and direct HR-related concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Prepare HR reports, documents, letters, and other administrative materials.
  • Coordinate with branch leaders to ensure each site is up to date with their labor posters and other compliance requirements.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. We’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means stepping outside your usual scope to help with projects or priorities that advance our mission. These “other duties as assigned” are part of how we adapt, innovate, and support one another. As such, additional duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned as needed to meet team and organizational goals.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 1+ year of experience in HR, human resources administration, recruiting, or a related role.
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, or payroll systems is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Travel and Office Requirements:

  • Attend required in-person quarterly staff meetings in New York City.
