Product Ownership at Grameen
Grameen America is launching a new in-app digital marketplace to empower members to sell products and services to each other and, over time, to external customers. This initiative builds on member feedback and the Member Directory pilot, aiming to strengthen community connections and expand business opportunities for small and women-owned enterprises. A successful candidate will be comfortable navigating small, cross-functional teams towards an agreed MVP design to begin testing. They will be equally comfortable using their product management toolbox to elicit constructive feedback from Members, colleagues, partners and leadership, synthesize this quickly into requirements, prioritize the resulting work, and continuously engage in a cyclical process of ongoing improvement. Experience with mobile application development is a plus.
The portfolio of products under development at Grameen America changes over time. These and other product needs may come into or out of the portfolio of projects assigned to this position. The initiative outlined above represents Grameen’s initial project need.
In this role you will:

- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other teams to design, pilot, and launch the marketplace, ensuring alignment with member needs and organizational goals.
- Direct the release schedule, balancing operational and technical constraints to deliver regular updates and new features.
- Lead discovery with members and stakeholders to identify opportunities to generate volume on the platform and drive business revenue increases for member businesses.
- Translate feedback and insights into actionable requirements, guiding the development of MVP features and iterating based on user experience.
- Manage third-party vendors through agile development cycles, ensuring timely delivery of high-value features.
- Champion continuous improvement, optimizing marketplace functionality and expanding its reach to external customers.
- Incorporate learnings into future product design, adapting to evolving member needs and market opportunities.
- Serve as a partner and advocate for members, supporting their journey and business growth within the Grameen network.
- Flexibly manage your product portfolio as new initiatives arise.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. We’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means stepping outside your usual scope to help with projects or priorities that advance our mission. These “other duties as assigned” are part of how we adapt, innovate, and support one another.
