Join Catalyst and become a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team.  The Executive Director / VP, Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the U.S. marketing strategy and leading marketing efforts to maximize the commercial success of Firdapse.

Responsibilities:

·        Develop and execute the brand plan to exceed sales goals

·        Attract, retain, develop and lead the marketing team to maximize commercial success

·        Lead the business (brand) planning process and ensure goals and initiatives are achieved

·        Ensure the organization has the capabilities to execute current and long-term business plans

·        Lead complex cross functional initiatives that are high exposure and high impact

·        Work collaboratively with Sales, Market Access, Patient Advocacy, Medical Affairs, Finance and Commercial Planning / Analytics to accomplish goals and drive strong growth

·        Commission market research and analysis to optimize decision making and market intelligence

·        Successfully develop and manage budgets while setting metrics to assess impact of initiatives

·        Create a strong partnership between sales and marketing teams to maximize results

·        Ensure the activities under his/her responsibilities are in line with the company policies and procedures

·        Champion the promotional review committee process with legal and regulatory

·        Help to drive and support an engaging and inspiring culture

·        Ensure strict adherence to compliance guidelines and a culture of doing the right thing

·        Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Strongly Preferred Skill Requirements: 

·        BA in business or healthcare (or similar field). Advanced degree preferred

·       15+ years of commercial experience in the biotech industry, including Head of Marketing experience

·       Experience with rare/orphan disease and product launch is desired

·        Proven ability to lead, develop and motivate a high performing marketing organization

·        Proven ability to successfully launch products and new indications

·        Proven ability to work cross functionally and manage projects simultaneously

·        Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills

·        Ability to develop innovative and impactful marketing and communication programs while managing external partners and agencies

·        Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to create a team environment

·        Self-motivated team player with the ability to proactively identify and prioritize problems and opportunities, maintain focus on big picture, and design effective solutions and action plans

·        Strong ability to multi-task and work toward fixed deadlines in a fast pace and demanding environment

·        Excellent clinical, financial, and analytical skills and acumen

·        Financial/budgetary experience

·        Ability to travel 50% of the time
