Join Catalyst and become a key member of the Firdapse Marketing Team.  The Director, KOL Marketing will appropriately  and compliantly work with Lambert Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) Thought Leaders to support both branded and disease state activities as well as other activities requiring KOL input and support such as additional product development, insights on potential additional indications, reinforce our relationships  with Advocacy Groups and Physician Groups, and commercialization in additional countries.

Responsibilities:

Create a road map for KOL development and management which includes developing criteria and systematic process for identifying, evaluating and recommending new KOL activities; and ways to interact and gain input from KOLs relevant to current and future indications, formulations, or commercial opportunities (ie, additional countries).

Significant customer-facing time, building relationships with KOLS for insights on programs,  progress, and disease-state developments as well as involvement in current and future commercial activities.

Plan and lead important activities such as Advisory Boards, KOL meetings at major meetings, and academic center meetings/summits to assess and inform assumptions regarding marketing strategies, tactics and future commercial opportunities for Firdapse and other potential medicines.

Disseminate KOL insights to cross-functional team, including marketing, sales, med affairs and market access, as relevant and appropriate, to drive development of new strategies and tactical approaches/responses.

Develop implement and manage activities including speaker bureau, KOL mapping and engagement, etc.

Coordinate additional speaker events, including selection of speakers, training for speakers, agenda of events, and budget management.

Contribute to sales and marketing message and program content development by providing KOL insight and perspective, increasing program impact & relevance.

In full alignment with guidelines on appropriate medical/commercial collaboration, connect the KOL to the appropriate Medical Affairs or R&D associate to address clinical/R&D-related questions and additional scientific exchange.

Liaise closely with Legal, Regulatory and Compliance to execute brand tactics successfully

Engage with key prescribers, including speakers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) as needed to ensure creation and seamless roll out of high impact, high value marketing programs

Remain flexible as work responsibilities change based on business needs

Ensure work product meets compliance and legal requirements

 

Qualifications and Strongly Preferred Skill Requirements: 

10+ years of commercial experience in the biotech industry

BA in business or healthcare (or similar field).  Graduate degree preferred

Experience with rare/orphan disease and product launch is desired

Understand and develop scientific, medical and regulatory materials for discussion with experts

Ability to lead and facilitate complex and sometimes controversial scientific/clinical/medical discussions with thought leaders and experts in a large and small group setting

Proven ability to develop productive relationships and programs with physician thought leaders and experts, academic center leaders, as well as other related Healthcare Professionals

Ability to lead, motivate, develop and influence others

Strong analytical skills and presentation skills

Ability to think creatively and conceptually

Ability to develop and execute key strategies and programs

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
