Controller / Senior Accountant

Join SERVPRO® Team Cuthbertson as a Controller, where you’ll be at the heart of our operations, leading a team, and ensuring smooth accounting processes and effective financial operations.
In this role, you will serve as the primary driver of the franchise’s day-to-day financial accounting. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial data, managing the "Work in Progress" (WIP) lifecycle, and ensuring that our restoration projects are profitable and accurately documented. This accounting role delivers hands-on accounting for the complexities of the restoration industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide weekly and monthly financial packages, including variance analysis and KPI tracking
- Manage the accuracy of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivables
- Track WIP to ensure revenue is recognized as jobs progress through the mitigation and reconstruction phases
- Track individual project profitability, comparing estimates to actual labor and material expenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or significant experience in a similar role
- Experience in disaster restoration, construction, or franchise operations is desired.
- Advanced QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel skills
- Familiarity with restoration software (Xactimate or Dash) is a major plus
- This is a role in a dynamic office environment
- Ability to successfully complete a background check, drug screen, and references; subject to applicable law.
