Caliber is looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Associate to join our team locally in Scottsdale, AZ. This role is limited to candidates currently located in the Phoenix, AZ metro area. Applications from out-of-state candidates will not be considered. 

This position supports the company’s financial reporting process by preparing detailed analyses and reports that ensure accuracy and transparency across the organization. This role collaborates with departments at all levels to gather and validate financial data, contributing to the preparation of reports and financial statements for the SEC, investors, and lenders. The position also reviews reporting for regulatory compliance while identifying opportunities to improve processes and create greater efficiency in financial reporting procedures.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and support the timely filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required SEC filings.
  • Draft financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency of disclosures across reporting periods.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and validate information required for public filings.
  • Prepare quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities.
  • Prepare and review intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and related supporting documentation.
  • Ensure entity-level financial results reconcile to consolidated reporting outputs.
  • Maintain detailed and audit-ready consolidation workpapers.
  • Support compliance with SOX 404 requirements and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation of reporting processes and control procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and reporting governance standards.
  • Perform analytical reviews of consolidated results to identify trends, variances, and potential misstatements.
  • Partner with accounting team to validate inputs to the consolidation process and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual investor statements and fund reports
  • Maintain structured reporting timelines and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced public company environment.
  • Perform other ad hoc job duties and project, as needed.

             

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study
  • 2-4 years of financial reporting experience, preferably within a public company environment, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting (real estate experience not required)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany eliminations
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and internal control frameworks
  • Advanced Excel skills, experience with consolidation/reporting systems preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and thoroughly in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure
  • Ability to seamlessly transition priorities and perform as part of a high-performance culture  
  • Ask questions when directions or expectations are unclear, to maximize efficiency.
