Pool Attendant/Concierge- Position Summary:
The Pool Concierge is responsible for enhancing the resident experience by providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a relaxing, resort-style atmosphere at the community pool. This role includes greeting residents, assisting with seating and amenities, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and supporting poolside services and events.
Join our team this summer! We're hiring for a part-time seasonal position with weekend and holiday shifts from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Experience & Hospitality
• Bring a happy, positive, energetic, outgoing, and fun-loving attitude to work every day.
• Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
• Assist with seating arrangements, distribute towels, and provide other poolside amenities.
• Share information about community events, promotions, and services.
• Handle minor resident requests and provide plastic cups for those with glass containers.
Poolside Service & Engagement
• Set up and maintain lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cabanas daily.
• Ensure towels and poolside supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Assist with light food and beverage service, when applicable.
• Support or help coordinate poolside activities and themed events.
Cleanliness & Maintenance Support
• Maintain a clean and organized pool deck, furniture, and surrounding areas.
• Ensure restrooms and refreshment stations are tidy and fully stocked.
• Report any maintenance issues or broken equipment promptly.
Access Control & Safety Awareness
• Verify resident access (e.g., wristbands or key tags) and enforce guest policies.
• Maintain awareness of general pool safety and assist with minor concerns.
• Immediately report any safety hazards, unauthorized parties, or incidents to management and/or the courtesy officer or security personnel. In an emergency, call 911 immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum age: 16 years old
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or concierge roles a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced outdoor environment
• Must wear appropriate swimwear or uniform as specified
Work Schedule & Compensation
• Must be available on weekends and holidays
• Typical shifts: 6–7 hours
• Weekday hours: Only when holidays fall on a week day (e.g., 4th of July)
• Special event hours: 11 am – 7 pm
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed
• May be required to perform light cleaning, including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and organizing furniture
• Must have visual and auditory acuity to monitor pool activity and recognize signs of distress or rule violations.
