TeachTown is the leading provider of education solutions for students diagnosed with autism, developmental and intellectual disabilities, emotional disorders, and speech/language impairments. Our growing team of professionals is seeking a proven, talented, energetic, quota- carrying  Account Manager. As an Account Manager, you will empower staff at school districts in your assigned territory to improve outcomes for their most complex learners by leveraging TeachTown’s software. The Account Manager will formulate and execute a sales strategy within assigned accounts, drive revenue growth by executing on their sales strategy, and grow  relationships with customers in their assigned space.

 

You will work as a trusted advisor to deeply understand the unique challenges and goals relating to special education, working with school districts to position the right TeachTown solutions to solve their needs. This is accomplished by scheduling and leading a variety of sales calls including (but not limited to) discovery meetings, product demonstrations, negotiation calls and board presentations. In addition, you will be responsible for building a territory plan, accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue while creating satisfied and reference-able customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales revenue quota by renewing and upselling deals to named existing clients (K-12 school districts)

  • Create and drive revenue within a specified list of accounts

  • Develop and successfully execute territory plans by prioritizing accounts, generating upsell business activity, and cultivating accounts from the ground up 

  • Create an adequate number of opportunities determined by quota or business need to support revenue targets through prospecting efforts

  • Create and thoroughly qualify leads & sales opportunities to a point of being able to strategize, negotiate & close business

  • Maintain account records and opportunity forecasting within our internal Salesforce system

  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within assigned accounts

  • Effectively identify, respond to and resolve client retention risks both independently and through collaboration with TeachTown teammates

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with clients, understanding their objectives, strategies, and KPIs

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years successful field sales/account management/account executive experience preferably in EdTech building, planning and executing a successful territory plan

  • Demonstrated history of consecutively achieving or exceeding sales quota

  • Has a growth mindset and thrives in a culture of coaching and feedback that encourages self reflection and personal development 

  • Ability to deliver results, work within a “team first” environment and operate with an entrepreneurial spirit- You are the CEO of your territory.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills with demonstrable ability to understand our programs and deliver successful presentations to executive level decision-makers

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple relationships while setting priorities and remaining organized 

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the capacity to independently build convincing, data-driven proposals

  • Proactive, confident and energetic attitude with the desire to be a key player on a high-performing, fun-loving team

  • Ability to travel 20%+/-
